Based on the traditional die-casting process, several improved processes have been developed, including a non-porous die-casting process that reduces casting defects and eliminates porosity. It is mainly used for processing zinc, which can reduce the direct injection process of waste to increase the yield. There are also new precision die casting technologies invented by General Dynamics and semi-solid die casting. In sand casting, solidification of low carbon steel is solidified layer by layer, while high carbon steel has a wide crystallization temperature range to form paste solidification.
